{hello, barn}

daniel escorted me down to my sunday evening shoot this past weekend. we snapped a few pictures just afterwards before we left. we haven't had much time together this past week. so every minute is glorious.

this coming weekend will be our first one apart since we've been married. in almost two years. im not looking forward to it already, but i think, being together again will make it worth it.

  1. yuck. i hate the nites apart. the worst was when i went to uganda and it was almost two weeks. the tears at the airport were a little embarrassing considering what other people have to undergo at times. anyway- i think you are right- the reuniting is very sweet.

  2. my husband had to go on a business trip when i was pregnant with our first son. it was the first time we had been apart since we had been married as well. now, five years later, it's still been the only three nights that we've been apart. :)

  3. My husband works as a law enforcement officer, and his rotating schedule means that he's working overnight seven nights a month... it was very difficult at first, but God gives MUCH grace! We were newly married and not-so-very-long afterward expecting (she's due any day now!) and there were some long and difficult nights apart, as I struggled with [evening]sickness and wanted him home... but those were also very sweet times with God, knowing that He was near and could comfort me more deeply than my husband ever could. Be encouraged! God is faithful to provide. And it is true, your reuniting will be all the sweeter for the absence endured. - Abby (Hinds) Taylor

  5. Great photos. My husband is away Monday-Thursday of every week. I try to focus on all that I am able to accomplish by myself while he's gone. Sometimes time apart is a positive. :)

  6. these are so adorable!!! and you're right. time spent apart makes the heart grow fonder. i haven't had to experience this in my married life yet, but i'm not looking forward to it when it does have to happen. at least it will only be a few days. and carly' right. you can get so much done that YOU want to get done without worrying if you're boring him, or doing something he doesn't want to do. <3
