{still waiting to hear the birdies sing}

sorry for leaving everyone hanging with isaacs hearing aids. this is actually the first chance i've had to post anything!

well, the short of it all, is that he still doesn't have them yet. we're having to wait another two or so weeks. a little disappointing, but i think we had also expected this to be delayed just a bit, but hopefully very soon. i absolutely cannot wait to be able to point out sounds to him. trains chugging & birds chirping outside our window. & the neighbors dog barking & the crunching sound our feet make as we're trampling thru the weeds that grow SO fast in our backyard.

in the meantime we snuggle up with him with stacks of books & read into his ear, & he can hear a little bit of something, i think. every so often he will turn around & smoosh his face into our mouths - maybe because he can hear a little better that way? we like to think so, at least. otherlywise: did anyone end up going sugar free this month? i still have a LOT of recipes to post for you!

  2. I wonder if he's giving you kisses when he smooshes his face into your mouth? Brooke does that too, and I've always thought of it as her giving us kisses :)
